What happens when we go over our text limit? Can we still send text messages?

Updated over 11 months ago
  • Text usage is based on your allotted message credits per month. The counter starts over at the beginning of each month.
One text message = 160 characters (including spaces). Incoming and outgoing text messages are counted separately and the counts are all based on the 160 character limit.

  • You will still be able to text your patients if you go over your monthly message credit allotment, however you will incur an additional fee to purchase message credits. When you are sending text messages try to limit your message to 160 characters if possible.

Note: Some special characters are counted as more than one character each. 160 characters is an estimate based on the regular characters in the alphabet (A-Z). We recommend keeping your messages under 145 characters.
