How to Identify Users With the Same Initials in the TrackStat Inbox

Inbox, identify users in inbox

When multiple users send messages from the TrackStat Inbox, their initials are displayed to help identify who sent each message.

If two employees have the same initials, their displayed initials may look identical. There are two ways to distinguish between these users.

Hover Over the User Initials

Hover your mouse over the initials displayed next to the message.

TrackStat will display the full name of the user who sent the message, allowing you to identify the sender even when multiple users have the same initials.

Adjust the User's Name to Create Different Initials

TrackStat uses capital letters in the user's name to determine the initials displayed for that user.

If two users currently have the same initials, you can add an additional capital letter to one user's name to make their displayed initials easier to distinguish.

For example:

John Smith → JS

If another user is also displayed as JS, adjusting the capitalization in one user's name can create a different set of displayed initials.

Recommended Option

You do not need to change a user's name just to identify who sent a message. Hovering over the initials will show the user's full name and is the easiest way to confirm the sender.

Changing the capitalization of a user's name can be useful if you want the users to be visually distinguishable without having to hover over their initials.
