Stats - PVA - How is patient visit average (PVA) calculated?

A: Patient Visit Average (PVA) can be calculated 2 different ways in TrackStat. It is a way to evaluate your patient retention and effectiveness.

Settings for PVA can be modified in Account Settings and affects the following reports and graphs: Practice Summary, Monthly Scoreboard, Monthly # and legacy dashboard PVA graph. Changing the setting for PVA in Account Settings does not apply to or affect Custom Reports.

Total new patient shows
Patient visit average = total office visits / new patient shows


​Started new patients
Patient visit average = total office visits / started new patients (must have np start tag)

You can change these calculations (PVA by all new patients vs new patient starts) in the Account Settings section. You must be an admin to edit this setting.
