Jaz can schedule appointments but cannot process payments or deposits, and it cannot capture credit card details.
This is intentional for security and compliance reasons. Collecting or storing payment card information through an AI agent creates unnecessary risk and would require meeting strict PCI DSS standards that conversational AI systems are not designed to handle. To protect both your practice and your patients, sensitive payment data should only be entered through a secure, PCI-compliant payment link.
What to do instead:
If a patient books an appointment type that requires a deposit or payment:
Create a Canned Reply in TrackStat.
Use the Canned Reply to send the patient a text or email requesting payment. Add the pay link from your merchant processor (Fortis or CashPractice) to the message.
Collect the payment through that secure link.
This approach keeps card data out of the messaging and AI systems while still allowing you to collect required payments quickly and safely.
