Updating Apps on iPhone (Apple App Store)
Manual Update
Open the App Store app.
Tap your profile photo or account button in the top right.
Scroll down to see available updates.
Tap Update next to a specific app, or tap Update All to update everything.
Enable Automatic Updates (Recommended)
Go to Settings > App Store.
Turn on App Updates (under Automatic Downloads).
This way, updates happen in the background, usually over Wi-Fi.
Updating Apps on Android (Google Play Store)
Manual Update
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap your profile icon in the top right.
Tap Manage apps & device.
Go to the Manage tab (or see "Updates available").
Tap Update next to a specific app, or Update all for everything.
Enable Automatic Updates (Recommended)
Open the Google Play Store app.
Tap your profile icon in the top right.
Tap Settings > Network preferences > Auto-update apps.
Choose Over any network (data charges may apply) or Over Wi-Fi only, then tap Done.
For individual apps: In an app's details page, tap the three-dot menu and turn on Enable auto update.
Automatic updates often occur when your device is charging and connected to Wi-Fi. Keeping apps updated is important for the best experience!
