Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview / What you’ll learn

This guide explains how to use the Unique/Active Patients feature in your reporting tools. You’ll learn how the system counts patients, how to filter your results, and how this helps you understand patient activity, retention, and regular care patterns in your chiropractic practice.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open your custom reporting dashboard

  2. Add a new row -

  3. This will show you how many individual patients, who had a visit in the time range. It will only count a patient once.

  4. Not enough?

  5. Add an advanced filter: unique patients

  6. Use the visit frequency filter to see patients who have had more than a certain number of visits in the past 30, 60, or 90 days. This helps you understand patient consistency and retention.

Examples for Chiropractic Offices

• If your clinic wants to review retention, you can filter for patients who have had more than 3+ visits in the last 60 days, to filter out new patient drop offs.

• To compare provider performance, filter by individual providers to see how many unique patients each provider treated.

Common Mistakes or Tips

• Remember that Unique/Active Patients counts individuals, not total visits. A patient with 5 visits in a month is counted once.
