Communication - Message Manager - How do I edit a Master message or canned reply?

I want to customize an email and text, but cannot change it. What do I do?

Note:

  • Editing a Master message always creates a copy.

  • The copied message must be selected and assigned to the campaign to take effect.

  • If you edit a message inside a campaign, go to the Message tab and select the newly created version.

  • To quickly find your updated message, sort by Edit Date to see the most recent messages.

  • Don’t forget to save your changes in both the message and the campaign.

Below you can see how to edit in two ways: from Message Manager and directly inside a campaign.

1. Message Manager (recommended)

  • locate message or canned reply (text or email) that you would like to copy

  • click the copy icon (looks like 2 pieces of paper)

  • rename it

  • assign to a folder (to help you stay organized!)

  • make edits

  • save changes

  • go to campaign and select message in Message/Schedule section

2. Campaign (Appointment Reminder, Drip or Blast)

  • Open the campaign (Appointment Reminder, Drip, or Blast).

  • Click the campaign name (shown in blue).

  • Select Message/Schedule.

  • Click the "edit" icon to edit the message

  • Rename the message

  • Assign it to a folder

  • Make your edits

  • Click Save

  • Select the new message from the folder and message dropdown

  • Save the campaign changes (top right)
