Setting up a happy birthday drip campaign is excellent and if you want okay results, you will stick with the automation. However, if you want to grow your practice, you will use the birthday reactivation blast campaign.
What's the difference?
The primary difference is that you are calling these patients on their birthday month with a special offer to come into the office in addition to the email/text.
Why would you call them?
Birthdays are a particular time for everyone, and people are more receptive to a birthday offer than most other offers. An automated text or email is better than nothing, but if you reach out to a small group of patients on their birthday month, they will likely respond.
Most clinics will have 10 to 80 people that meet their requirements each month, and if you call them, there is a high likelihood they will respond to the offer.

"Hi [patientname], this is [your name] from [your office], we sent you an email and a text about a special birthday offer this month. Did you get a chance to read it?
(most likely they will say no, even if they read it)
Responded NO: "The doctor wanted me to reach out because it was your birthday this month and offer you _______ as a special gift. The only catch is that you must use it up this month. Do you have a preferred day of the week and time to take advantage of that offer?"
Responded YES: "Great, the doctor wanted me to reach out because it was your birthday this month and offer you _______ as a special gift. The only catch is that you must use it up this month. Do you have a preferred day of the week and time to take advantage of that offer?"
