FAQs

Why Isn’t a Patient Showing Up on the Report?

  • The patient’s First Visit Date or Injury Date may not fall within the selected date range. Broaden the date range at the top of the page to include the patient.

Why Is the $/Visit Amount So High?

  • This often occurs when a patient has prepaid for a care package but hasn’t completed their visits. Once treatment is completed, the $/visit will reflect the correct amount.

Can I See a Patient’s Referral Source?

  • Yes, the referral source is visible in the report and can be sorted or filtered for further insights.

How Can This Report Help the Billing Department?

  • Use the report to quickly identify missing information such as:

  • Insurance company details.

  • Diagnosis codes.

  • Injury dates.

  • Address these issues in your EMR/EHR before claims are sent to minimize rejections and delays.

Best Practices

For PI Case Management:

  • Use the PI Card to track detailed case information.

  • Assign tags based on case progress (e.g., “In Treatment,” “Litigation”).

For New Patient Audits:

  • Sort by First Visit Date to ensure all required billing and insurance details are captured.

The Patient Management Report is an indispensable tool for clinics handling complex cases like personal injury or insurance claims. Its robust filtering, sorting, and data visualization options make it easy to stay organized, reduce billing errors, and maximize efficiency in patient management.
