The Three Provider Types

Important Things to Know
Daily Stats and Weekly Stats mix two provider types on one screen
When you select a provider on Daily Stats or Weekly Stats:
The visit counts show appointments booked with that provider.
The Billed and Paid rows show money for patients whose Primary Provider is that provider — even if another provider saw them.
These are two different groups of patients, so the visit numbers and the dollar figures on the same screen may not "line up." This is expected behavior, not a data problem.
How Each EHR Fills In These Fields
TrackStat gets its provider information from your EHR during sync. What "Primary Provider" and "Appointment Provider" mean in each system:
ChiroTouch Classic (server)
Primary Provider = the doctor assigned on the patient's record in ChiroTouch.
Appointment Provider = the doctor on the appointment in ChiroTouch.
Billing Provider = the billing doctor on the patient's record in ChiroTouch.
Eclipse (server, versions 7–10)
In Eclipse, a patient's information is organized by case, and TrackStat treats each Eclipse case as a patient record.
Primary Provider = the doctor assigned to the patient's case in Eclipse.
Appointment Provider = the doctor on the appointment in Eclipse.
Eclipse has no separate billing doctor in the sync — the case doctor is used for both the Primary and Billing Provider fields.
ClinicMind / Genesis / Billing Dynamix / Vericle
Appointment Provider = the provider whose schedule the appointment was booked on.
Primary Provider = the physician on the patient's record in ClinicMind. If the patient record has no physician set, TrackStat automatically assigns the provider the patient has seen most often in the past year (or, failing that, the provider they saw most recently). So a patient's Primary Provider in TrackStat may be calculated rather than something entered in ClinicMind.
The Rendering Physician (Billing Provider) is synced with financial data, but the "Providers" filters don't use it.
