New Dashboard Overview
Purpose
The new dashboard gives you more flexibility to track the metrics that matter most to your practice. You can customize widgets, compare providers side-by-side, track goals, monitor financial performance, and even create your own charts from Custom Reports.
Key Improvements
Customize Your Dashboard
You can fully customize your dashboard by:
Adding or removing widgets
Renaming widgets
Resizing widgets
Dragging and dropping widgets into your preferred layout
Filtering by an individual widget (so you can compare providers)
To start customizing:
Open the Dashboard.
Click Edit.
Select the widgets you want to display.
Save your changes.
Widget-Level Filters
The new dashboard allows each widget to have its own filters.
This makes it possible to compare metrics side-by-side. For example, you can display office visits for different providers in separate widgets on the same dashboard.
Improved New Patient Tracking
Previously, the New Patient widget counted patients based on their first ledger activity or first visit activity.
In some cases, if a payment was collected before the patient’s first appointment, the patient would be counted on the payment date rather than the visit date.
The New Patient widget now allows you to count patients based on appointment type, providing more flexibility and accuracy.
Financial Widget
The Financial Widget automatically compares your current performance against:
The previous month
The same time period last year
You can view financial data by:
Day
Week
Month
Year
Note: Yearly comparisons may take longer to load due to the larger amount of data being processed.
Summation Goals
Widgets can display goals using a Summation line.
A summation goal tracks cumulative progress over a selected date range.
Example:
If your weekly visit goal is 100 visits and you are viewing four weeks of data, the summation goal will measure whether you reached 400 total visits during that four-week period.
Improved Active Patient Tracking
The Active Patient widget now supports more advanced patient activity criteria.
For example, you can count patients who have had:
3 or more visits
Within the last 2 months
This helps filter out patients who only visited once or twice and provides a better picture of active patient engagement.
Create Custom Charts for Your Dashboard
You can create your own graphs and charts from Custom Reports and add them directly to the dashboard.
Supported chart types include:
Line
Bar
Pie
Doughnut
Polar Area
Radar
